Cerisy la Forêt is a small village of 900 inhabitants, situated between Bayeux and Saint Lô. It boasts an 11th-century abbey that is a jewel of Roman art and architecture and a nearby national forest. 

A 5-mile footpath circles the village, taking in the Abbey.
